intergrating the audio from an auxiliary source including an iPod with your OE
system, do you want to add an auxiliary input to your OE system without losing
the OE cd changer?
Well now you don't have to with the new
range of Expander interfaces, this exclusive interface connects in line with the
OE cd changer and enables you to switch to an auxiliary stereo audio source with
the simple touch of a button.
The interface is designed for use with the
following Range Rover models:
Range Rover P38
This is only compatible with a standard
BMW Business sound system. This interface is not designed specifically for use
with the Range Rover satelite navigation system but in most instances it works
This interface is only compatible with
vehicles that are pre-installed with a factory fitted CD changer buslead, And
also with head units that have a Random Button (The Random Button on the
Navigation head unit is accessible via one of the sub-menue's)
Once connected the
BMW Expander interface will allow the audio from an auxiliary input
[DVD,VCR,MP3,iPod etc] to be played through the vehicles speaker system via the
CD mode on the OEM head unit. This interface can be used in conjunction with the
OE CD multi changer.
Simple plug and play
installation of the interface in the Glove Box area of most vehicles and
connection to your audio source via [stereo] RCA connections.
Models fitted with the OE Changer
With the head unit
switched on, press the "Mode" button until the OE CD Changer is selected, Then
to select the audio from the auxiliary source double press the "RANDOM" button
and the head unit will switch to the Expander Interface, By pressing the button
again it will toggle back to the OE CD Changer again.
Models Without CD Changer
With the head unit
switched on press the "MODE" button until it displays CD mode. The audio from
the auxiliary source will now be available.
